The Power of Ideas

In our time, as always, ideas have power. We usually don't realize how powerful ideas are, as we have responsibilities to care for and slip into routines. Still, the most incredible force comes from the world of ideas - forces to change reality, to shape civilizations, to create new relationships, new businesses, new hope. As ideas are degraded to slogans and politics, the true power of ideas can be lost. Still, we need not look far to see how incredible ideas are as participants in our world.

The ideas surrounding the creation of a more ecological world - are not just reactions to the industrialization of our planet, but have been with us for thousands of years. Living in harmony with nature has been a leading subject of almost every major philosophy and religion, of almost every time and culture. It is by no means new or radical, but simply the age-old hope for harmony, for peace, dignity and healing - renewed in our time.

On this site, there is mostly information concerning ecological agriculture, but also concerning philosophies, philosophers and related movements that have been contributing to the whole ecological movement.

I would urge you to consider anew, the power of ideas and to search your own mind for those ideas that urge you towards positive action - whatever that may be. Ideas are powerful and as they become ideals in our hearts - they can indeed move mountains.

In the coming weeks, I will post more information about the power of ideas... as an introduction to the work of ecological agriculture and the ecological movement.. please also check out the sections on "My Philosophy" and "Ag Principles" for more on the power of ideas...
