History

The ecological movement is not old in the modern sense, but ageless in truth. All the greater religions, philosophies and cultures have had a deep respect, even reverence for nature as a part of their fundamental sense of reality. Nature, after all, gives us life!

In modern times, with the emergence of the industrial revolution, the introduction and widespread use of agri-chemicals and the increasing loss of farming as a vocation in the West - the ecological movement became a "return to common sense" movement already in the early part of the 20th century.

In the following, I will offer my perspective on the history of the ecological agriculture movement and also offer links to other sites that offer historical perspectives and information. Enjoy.
